My five year old offered something recently that took me aback for a moment, during which I held my breath, hoping that it was a statement as opposed to one of her many many questions:
She said, "Mommy, I know the things that God made...". I said, "like what"? She replied, "like the sun, and the stars and us and.......but, He didn't make Hisself?" ?!?!
She hung around for a few a minutes (seemed longer) awaiting my profound response...which was not forthcoming (immediately or otherwise), then she moseyed along to a potentially more fruitful engagement with one of her toys.
If she is true to form, that assertion will resurface, at some point, as a direct question.
Any suggestions as to how I might answer her?
Thanks, in advance, for your input.
--Blessings.
