I appreciate the invitation and opportunity to participate in this forum. I am not currently, nor have I ever, formally, been a member of a church.
I have, however, come to understand the necessity/duty to seek out the company of fellow christians, preferring and encouraging them, to the edification of the body:
"And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." (Hebrews 10:24-25)
"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into Him in all things, Which is the Head, even Christ:
From Whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the
body unto the edifying of itself in love." (Ephesians 4:15-16)
I have, also, become acutely aware of how diligently the enemy works to to isolate prey, as do most hunters:
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" (1 Peter 5:8)
