1. There are some threads to which we would like go back again. I mean those with timeless value. Such as one in which we shared our favorite books. I think that was about a couple of years ago.
Could we bring together a collection of these 'best' or 'timeless' threads under one forum, where regular users, as well as new ones, could reach them without having to sort and search too much. Of course, obviously, some criteria has to be there to select these threads.
2. We don't seem to get to see any famous writers in this site (unless they stealthily maintain a low key under the cover of a nickname). Is there anyway we could rein some of them in? Maybe someday we will see an ad in ChristianWriters.com: LIVE CHAT WITH PHILIP YANCEY ON SATURDAY (Click here (http://www.christianwriter.com/chat/yancey) for details).
The other alternative of course would be to get famous ourselves.
John
P.S. I was just kidding with the link.

If everyone would pass the word around and we could get, oh say, a couple hundred thousand people to buy my two novels, then I would be a famous author. :D ;)

 The famous people don't have time to rub shoulder's with us 'wanabe's.' They are too busy writing, talking to editors, signing contracts.... ;)
One day we'll be there and then we'll have to make ourselves come here and help the newbies.
Keep up the good work and remember..."Don't grow weary in doing well."

I believe there are some very famous people lurking around here at Christianwriters. I'm just waiting for them to stand up and be recognized. Yep yep... its true, and I know it!

The only "famous" Christian author I have seen post anywhere was Shane Johnson on his own forum, and he hasn't posted much recently. I can't blame him though, as the forum only has about five members. :(
It would be nice to talk to some of them and get their insights.

This is starting to look like a post that started all kinds of rumors over at the NASCAR forums I use to frequent (and still do to some extent).
Stuff like,
I hear Dale Earnhardt, Jr. posts on here as 3rulz
I heard Kevin Harvick posts on here as stinkyfeet
I know for a fact that Jimmy Spenser is USAR-RadRacer
Don't tell anybody, but I'm really Robert Pressley.
Somehow, though, I think this crowd is way to mature for that. :D

Its great to see the optimism here. And this has made me wonder what it takes to get 'up there.' Maybe we should start another post to discuss that.
Can we get some famous writers (other than ourselves, of course) to visit us? Not necessarily famous, but successful writers. One way would be to invite writers whom we know to this site. Any other ideas?

Shane Johnson is part of the SciFi_Christian Yahoo Group and I've talked to him a bit. Reminds me, I STILL need to read his novel ICE...
