In my bible study group today something popped out that I wanted to share. We are doing a Beth Moore study. In one of the paragraphs she asked these questions.
Do you still believe in fairy tales?
Do you still believe in Prince Charming?
Do you still believe your prince will come riding in on a white horse to save the day?
Do you still believe in happily ever after?
Then she gave this reference, Revelation 19:11-16
At first I said of course not. That stuff is just make believe. But then I read those verses and I had to change my answer. Heres what the verses say...
I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter." He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On His robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.
So, in answer to those questions. Do I believe in fairy tales? No. Do I believe in a Prince Charming? My prince charming is Jesus. So yes. And yes I do believe He will come riding in on a white horse to save the day and I will get my happily ever after.
