I sorted through the sign-up sheet (http://4Believers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1665) for critique groups, and have come up with following assignments (posted below). Please search through the list and let me know (either posted here or via private message) any questions, thoughts or concerns you may have.

I plan to set the groups up tonight. All participants will receive a private message with further details, so please check your folder tomorrow morning. You are free to start posting within the group at any time after receiving your welcome message.

I've signed you each up for the group(s) relevant to your work. When you visit the forums main page (http://4Believers.com/forums), you should now see your group listed under the "Private Critique Groups" section.

Crystalia and Dr. Rita, you may want to post a message in each group introducing yourself, so the other members know you've joined. :)

Crystalia
Group 4 - Nonfiction

Dr. Rita
Group 4 - Nonfiction
Group 2 - Sci-Fi, Fantasy
Screenplays/poetry- We don't currently have groups for screenplays or poetry, but as soon as someone else expresses an interest I'll pair you up. :)

WriteGirl - Are you currently working on a project that you'd like critiqued? If so, please let me know, and I'll assign you to group #1.

Gump - The groups are broken down by genre, and only members of that group are allowed access. Group #1 is for thriller, suspense and mystery. Did you have another project to enter which fits into one of these genres?

Thanks guys. Please let me know if you have any questions! :)

Hi Rebecca,

I'd be interested to join a private critique group but I was wondering first what it involves and what it does.
I'm also confused as to which group I would join as the book I'm working on is of novella length (less than 40,000 words - or so I've been told).
It has elements of sci-fi, fantasy, thriller, suspense and mystery and is fiction.

Thankyou!

Warrior,

Check the thread linked below for the latest on the groups. I'd say your writing would best fit with group 2, but that decision would ultimately be between you and Bekka.

Warriors come out and play'ayy

___Ok sorry couldn't help myself, old gang flick called The Warriors. Anyways, Warrior you asked what goes on in these groops. The one I'm in (Novel Length Fiction 2 - focusing on sci-fi and fantasy) has been broder then it leads on to be. Merry placed a great childrens fantasy in there. Then Patrick put up his 'Flesh monster of sin come to eat you' story in there. These where both around 1,500 words. Not much to edit... but we help out on what you could do to improve.
___I personly don't like to poor over anything more then 2,000 words. I think you should learn from what you are told, and fix the rest of your work acordingly. Patrick on the other hand ripped right through my 85,000 word book (don't know if he will do that for everyone though). Still, you luarn from your pears. Wether that is, style, grammer, punctuwation, story flow or just simple encoragement.
___So that's what heppens in our crew. I wander what the other peeps do in their crews. Oh, we are pritty leanyent on the rules set by Bekka. If you brake them and no one helps... don't be suprised but don't be suprised if one of us does help. !thumbsup!

Jacki,
_____You're in the right place I think. :o What is a Historical/not romance/short story?

Jacki

The category, if I'm not mistaken was Historical/Romance, mine is just historical. I took that category to be Historical romance. Sorry.

_____No-no-no Jacki, I was wondering what was in a Historical/not romance/short story. I didn't missunderstand what crew you're after, I was inquiring as to what a story like that would be like. ;)

Hi Angel,
So sorry I musunderstood what you wanted. In a nut-shell, its a story about a young Scott who is in Texas when the War between the States breaks out. He feels it's only right for him to join since he is getting the benefits of living here. It generally goes through the battles of the Texas Fourth from the early 1861s to late 1862 when he is severly wounded and ends up in a hospital in Richmond VA. He later becomes a traveling minister. Have to get my cookies out of the oven, be back in a little while. Hope this is what you wanted.

Sorry, Angel, didn't want to burn the cookeis and I am wont to do. Just one more thing, there is very little romantic interest is this. One would have to reach faaaaaaaar out to call it a romance story. It is basicly only historical.

That's probably more clear.

God Bless
Jacki

Jacki,
_____I don't know much about the sub-structure, from what I understand, wouldn't your book be called a Historical-Westeren? Just historical sounds like a fiction history book, like say the movie Nixon. Oh well, I don't know what I'm awen about anyways. :p Hope you find a good place and cheerful people to work with. !thumbsup!

Bekka,
_____If Warrior 4 Jesus is to be comished to the bat cave, could you please throw him in there as fast as you can. A secret contest is going on in there, and I wouldn't want W4J here to miss out on it. Not to mention, entry time is running very short.
