I figured I'd leave the old one buried since it's already fallen back for a while.

Despite the fact that I'm a rock fan, I just picked up Stacie Orrico's self-titled CD and I'm really amazed with it. Most of the songs are better than any of the garbage I hear on secular "Hit" radio. I'm really confused, though, because when the CD came out, all I heard was this negative backlash against Stacie for selling out to the secular music world. She's got songs on the CD that talk about how there's more to life than what popular culture tells us, how we need to ask ourselves "what if it was me?" instead of judging people, how we need to spend quality time with Jesus, how we need to shake off the trials of the world and not let trival things shake our faith, how God provides us with security in life, how we don't need to waste time in coming to God, how God is strong enough to use us no matter how bad our past has been or how many scars we carry--I could actually go on with the list, but what I wonder is how can anyone call this girl a sell-out? I'm sure, if anything, her CD has suffered in the secular world simply BECAUSE of the Christianity in it.

Anyway, I'm looking for some good accustic or "earthy" rock and praise music. I'm thinking of picking up one of Jeremy Camp's CDs or maybe Todd Agnew. As someone I once knew called it, the typical "college crowd sound." I figure FireFeet might have suggestions for me, but I'm open to anyone else's suggestions, too, for that matter. I'm not promising I'll run out and buy anything right this minute, but I'll definately look into some new stuff.

Wellllllllllllllllllllll....I personally think Staci Orrico sounds like Michael Jackson when he was the Jackson 5. And I don't have a clue what the "college crowd sound" is. :)

Nevertheless, here are links to sites that have my absolute favoritest worship music.

FireFeet blinks her eyes and looks convincingly innocent. "What did I say?"

Hmmm, responding in third person? Is this a good thing?......Merry scratches her head and ponders, 'I wonderful if they all do that?'
