Okay, last week we were sitting at a high of +25c and there was no snow anywhere. Over the last three days we have had 30 cm of snow!! And it's still falling. We should get another 10 by the end of today.
If you are somewhere warm, please tell me about it. Is the sun shining, can you see flowers, are the birds chirping? I need warm thoughts!!

If you are not somewhere warm, try and beat my 30 cm:D

Blessings from a very chilled Canadian.

Oh, saz! I'm so sorry you cannot experience my day. It is so gorgeous here today that I will share some of it with you. The sky is a beautiful clear blue with a few puffy clouds floating along its canvas. The beams of the sun stream down with soul-satisfying warmth. Before reading your post, I was sitting on my couch with the window open to allow the freshness of 72 degrees to enhance and tickle my nostrils. And since all the blossoms of the redbud, the dogwood, the pear, and all the others are blossoming, all the pollen comes in the window with the fresh air! Since I have no flowers in my yard at the moment, my neighbors on each side of me have beautiful pinky-red tulips and bright yellow jonquils. I'm sure God will allow all the earth's beauty to be in your area soon! Have a blessed day!

the birds are no where to be found.
I just went out to get my son from school and nearly went off the road. Yucky blizzard. What makes it worse is I broke my toe and can't fit my boots, so i have to wear shoes in 30 cm of blowing snow. Drifts are over a foot deep. okay, I officially hate winter (I know hate is not a nice word but I can't think of any other to describe it).

Sorry your weather wasn't well.

I have my back door open. jack is laying with his head out the door and a few minutes ago there was a red bird sitting there looking in. Hope you get better weather soon.

Saz, we had snow on the 12th & 13th of this month. But, it was a bit too warm to do anything.

Here in Kansas, the temps are in the 70s (I hear it was 80 on Sunday, but I was in Minnesota--which was in the low-mid 70s anyway.) The tulips, grape hyacinths, and daffodils/narcissus are blooming. The crocus and hyacinths have alredy faded. :) I actually need to mow my grass this week! And, we had a severe thunderstorm last night around 2:30 AM. It woke my cat and me up--rain, hail, wind, lightning and thunder. :) If I hadn't been completely exhausted, I would have enjoyed it. ;)

You have flowers already fading:eek:
Are you in an area of Kansas that gets severe thunderstorms? The 'we're not in Kansas any more' kind?

Flowers: yes. I got home last night and noticed most of my hyacinths had faded. The crocuses were gone over a month ago, I think.

Storms: yes. I'm in the northern end of Tornado Alley. Tornadoes and T-storms are a regular part of life here. I'm actually a trained tornado spotter, and every time we get an outbreak, I threaten to go out and do photography, but my husband won't let me--he doesn't want my truck dinged by hail, despite the fact it's 10 years old. This year, he has a secondary reason since I'm pregnant. Gee, he's not much fun. He saw an F-4 or F-5 close up 5 years ago that destroyed a bunch of Kansas City, Kansas, and that was on accident, and he won't let me go out on purpose, when I'm trained to evade them! :p

wow, that's fascinating. Are you like the characters on Twister? Running them down to get information? Or do you have a warning system to warn the people around you?

Men get so protective of pregnant ladies. Go figure. Congrats by the way. Are you hoping for a boy or girl?

I just went to your photo gallery. You have some lovely photos.

I also forgot to say my son would love your avatar. He is a Star Wars Guru. He's only 6. Actually he's done some stop motion videos with star wars lego. If you go to youtube and type in general grevious dies (yes, I know it is spelled wrong, that was my husband :() the one done by grinningpick is my son's. It's pretty good considering he's only 6. He made up the story, lined up the shots, double checked the view finder and then let me click the button. he's very particular. All I did was load it on my computer.

Twister: I'm not, but some are, but I think most don't take near as many risks as the people in 'Twister' (which was one of my favorite movies for a long time, but I haven't seen it in a long time.) Most storm spotters are more after tracking the storm and giving live updates to meteorologists with the National Weather Service (NWS) or NOAA, or they're contracted on with TV Stations in the area to keep viewers up to date. I just found out recently about an online network for them where you can do live tracking of spotters in your area on a website. It's pretty cool, and they match up the data and audio/video with real-time radar.

Baby: healthy. One day, I'll want a boy, the next, a girl. I refer to it as a he right now (probably more by default than anything.) And, we're not going to find out. I'm almost 17 weeks along. :) I'm starting to look forward to the half-way point. I'm tired of being pregnant already!

Thanks on the photos. I'll have to check out the YouTube thing. It sounds great! I love STAR WARS, ever since my Dad first let me see it when I was about 11 or so. I love to watch and listen to the documentary of the making of the films--it's fascinating to know what Lucas and the filmmakers had to go through in order to get them done, plus to better understand the era in which they were released (I wasn't born yet, so really don't have a clear understanding of what was going on in the world in 1977.) When you understand the era, and what kinds of films were coming out of Hollywood around that time, you can really get why Star Wars was such a big hit...

But, I digress... the thread's about spring, not Star Wars! :p
