Has anybody ever designed letterhead for their query letters? I was using the old-school address block with phone and email at the bottom, but it was suggested in a thread at another forum that professional letterhead makes a better impression.

Right now, I'm toying with a simple letterhead. My name on the right, a border line beneath it running across the page, and my address on one line beneath the border line with a left justification.

Anyone got any ideas as to which one is more professional and why?

I designed my own letterhead to make it look more professional (suggested by Rajendra Pillai, author and conference director). I keep it as a Word document and copy and paste my queries into it before printing. My first was basic with a symbol and my address in fancier font centered at the top. My current one has a symbol (left hand holding a pen since I'm lefthanded) to the left of my left-aligned address, a colored rectangle beneath the address, and a line underneath.

That sounds a whole lot more advanced than my letterhead. All I've got is my name written in all small case in a typewriter font over a horizontal line, with my snail mail addy under that line on the left and my phone/email on the right. I might have to look into sprucing it up a tad.
