The Minneapolis Star Tribune has reports that the school serves halal food -- Islamic-permissible food -- and that students participate in ritual washing, prayers, and Islamic studies. Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy also requires that students learn Arabic as a second language. In response to concerns, the school claims that its Islamic study classes are conducted after school hours. But the Star Tribune reports the school has in effect extended the school day, and that buses leave only after Islamic studies are over.

But the ministry leader accuses the Department of giving Muslims rights that it would never give to other groups. "If Christians tried to do this -- and for that matter, even if Jews tried to do something in the public school in a slightly undercover way -- we couldn't get away with it," argues Markell. "The ACLU and others would be all over us."
When I read the url, at first I thought it said "One New Snow". But now it looks like I was right the first time. LOL :p
Markell says she is fearful that her home state is on its way to becoming what she describes as the "Islamic Republic of Minnesota." She also says it is outrageous that the school does not fly the American flag as required by state law. According to the Star Tribune, the school's Muslim executive director says he does not know how to operate the flag pole.
Yep, the undercover nature of it and the hypocrisy that Knight of Christ indicated definitely sends up red flags galore. Any time a people or country or state allows Islamic schools to move into an area, in time the place starts to shed its own identity and begins to look Arabian. Why are so many people abetting the radical people who have proven they have no interest in peace as we understand it?

An executive director of a school dose not know how to work a flag poll? Give me a break, that has got to be the lamest excuse that I have ever heard, my 10 year old atustic step son could come up with something better than that.
Becides if he can't do it then he can always get a teacher or even ask a student to do the honors sheesh

Exactly! It seems I spend a lot of time just shaking my head these days. The only way I can understand it is to know that this is part of a spiritual battle. I think the people of Abba YHVH better start humbling themselves and pray pray pray!

When they say "separation of church and state", what they mean is "separation of Christianity and Judaism and state". Wish they would just be honest about it.
Another case in point: school children in Seattle were shuttled by the public school system to go hear the Dalai Lama speak. Now tell me honestly, if Albert Mohler or Charles Stanley was in town speaking about peace or integrity or something, do ya really think this would happen?

No, Missy, that would not have happened, and that's the same hypocrisy we were mentioning earlier. I'm sure most of you know this already, but "separation of church and state" is not in the US Constitution. It's borrowed from the Communist Manifesto and ignorantly forced into the clause that prohibits government from interfering in religious practices.
That does not mean, however, that Christians (or Muslims or Hindis or what-have-you) cannot be involved in politics, or rally against spiritual injustices, or even hold office. Where it gets messy is when government powers-that-be try to force everyone to be in one religious frame of mind. That's what the Muslims are doing in Minnesota, that's what our government is doing against us now, that's what the Roman Empire tried to do in Jesus' day. The Empire fell, and so will these guys eventually--in God's good time.

I have sent an e-mail to ACLJ in hopes of them getting involved. If that fails i will contact the A.C.L.U. and ask for equal time. If that fails i will contact Guido and Vinnie and their cousin knuckles.
On a more serious note, we are losing a lot of ground in our Nation. Values that we have grown up with are being trampled, what will there be for our grandchildren? Prayer five times a day, a trip to Medina? I read a post earlier that says 93% of the gay community votes and only 23% of the christian community votes.
I must admit the three stooges Moe, Larry and curly are not much but as usual we must vote for the lesser of three evils. We must vote at all costs.
