I have written a devotional called "Etch-a-Sketch Life" and was wondering if anyone knows if the word "Etch-a-Sketch" has to have special treatment to be used in my title and in my devotional.
Thanks!

We had a thread along these lines a few months ago. I think someone said you don't have to gain permission from a company to use their name, though it's generally recommended that you put a trademark symbol (or appropriate equivalent) behind the name. However, because you're using the brand name in a blog title (a franchise of sorts), it may be a problem. I'm really not sure.

Tina, Tarin is basically right. I found this article on a site called The Publishing Law Center. You can find your full answer here...

Thanks Lynn and Tarin! I'll check it out. I've not submitted it that devotional for publication or anything yet and I don't want to get off on the wrong foot!
