*Swallows nervous lump in throat* Okay, where to begin? I've never been on a Christian writing site before, so this is new to me. I've been wanting to find a safe, beyond-mainstream place to post some of my work, since all of it is Christian-oriented. I can't say whether or not I'll make it here, but what the heck!
I'm a self-taught storyteller, but I am a much better writer than a storyteller. There are people out there who can tell phenomenal stories, and I'm not one of 'em! Even though I have a good deal of writing fundamentals down pat, telling a story is a huge struggle since it's such an expansive art form. But my writing has reached a select few out in the mainstream, so it indicates I'm not too far gone! God has gifted me with what He thinks his best, and I'll post my best here--no apologies or complaints, but gratitude and praise to Him who gives me my imagination and inspiration.
I'll be posting stuff here soon, so Heaven have mercy on us all.
In His name,
John Jude Farragut (a.k.a. WhiteDragon47)

Hi there and welcome to cw. Good to have you here. If you read the FAQ and Guidelines at the top of each forum you'll see how we do things and where and when to post creative works. You should soon learn your way around here and hopefully you won't get lost in the dark recesses where lurkers lurk.

Welcome to CW. Don't worry. We don't bite. At least most of us don't. There are a few...

Hey John, welcome. I write historical fiction and family/homeschooling articles and do reporting for a Christian newspaper. How about you? Is the moniker "WhiteDragon" any indication of your writing bent? Hope you enjoy the comaraderie here.

Thanks for the greets, y'all!
I'm a major fantasy freak, with a little expertise in fan-fiction. I just posted the prologue of a fantasy story I'm working through called Mazerani Conspiracy (if any of you can pronounce that correctly, you're my hero!). It should be up in the Fantasy section pretty soon, so if you want to see some sucky writing and storytelling, ALL HOPE ABANDON, YE WHO ENTER! *Grins*
Hi John, welcome to CW.
Love the surname !
Thanks! You like the "Farragut" part or the "dragon" part?
WhiteDragon is actually a great indicator of the stories I write. Actually, one of my favorite protagonists is a kickin' awesome white dragon.

Well hope you do hang around. We all suffer from our own problems in writing, so you should fit in just fine.

Oh it was the 'Farragut' - you couldn't dream up a name like that ! I suspect there's some Dutch blood in the family.
