Hi all,
I chanced on this site after clicking in christian writers in google. A friend had told me to consider seeking some outlets for my writing. I have never considered it as a serious option. I realize there's a lot of folks out there writing and that it is competitive. I definitely enjoy using words, and my favourite thing is speaking about the things of the Lord. Especially where it relates to having a relationship with him that works. In past times I was zoned into things concerning the prophetic things of scripture. My emphasis has shifted for some years now where my greatest interest is in the mechanics of having a relationship with God and how God's presence can be a reality to us.

The foundational scripture for me in that area has to be John 15 concerning our being able to do nothing with him. Recently I came also to understand the power of our will being joined to God in every circumstance, small and big, and just how pivotal a role this plays in the reality of the life which a believer is seeking live out daily. I see John 14:21 as as scripture which indicates a place for our will, our yea to God, in all circumstances where we understand he is speaking to us. To me his commandments are simply the individual and personal things he is saying to us in whatever manner it is that we find him speaking to us.

The basis of all, and this has taken a long time to come to the beginnings of a grip on, is the cross. Which to me in it's most basic form is unconditional acceptance of God for us in spite of our sin. I used to believe and practice the view that I could not come to him unless I had first straightened out myself in a particular area. Now I realize that unless I approach him as I am without being shined up first, I will find no answer for the bondage in any area of life. I believe this to be the correct biblical basis for a believer. However, to practice this, one must activate their will in the daily deal of life, for when we are in sin or bondage in any way, we in no way "feel" like coming to God nor believe we have a right.

The cross is all about saying yes, we do have the right, and that Christ receives sinners. Not only at salvation, but at any and all times thereafter. David said that God's gentleness made him great. He grew by understanding and practicing the concept of God's forgiveness. This is not an easy path. But it is a true path, and guarantees answers to the struggle we find ourselves in as people placed into this life. Along this path I believe we will find probably the greatest suffering we could encounter anywhere. But I believe we also find the life of God, that is, the release of God's presence to us as we believe in his love toward us, and then obey from a basis of forgiveness and love which creates acceptance. I believe this is not a one time release of God to us, but an ongoing revelation of the greater and more of God to us as we open up more and more to him. This pretty well brings you up to date on my spiritual apprehension to this point. Hope this was not too long for you all. Thanks, and God bless
