WASHINGTON, April 6 (UPI) -- U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has exhibited interest in becoming John McCain's vice presidential running mate, a Republican strategist says.
Dan Senor revealed during Sunday's edition of ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" that Rice has been seeking support to be considered for the No. 2 spot on the Republican ticket this fall.
"Condi Rice has been actively, actually in recent weeks, campaigning for this," Senor said.

I like Condi okay I guess but I don't feel she has a real grasp on the Palestinian/Israeli conflict and that's a biggie for me...

I would totally support Condi as VP. I wanted her to run for president.

I'm with you, Tamera. I think it's an excellent idea and a tremendous boost for McCain.

I'd like to know more about some of her positions on key domestic issues, but I could support her potentially.

Though I'd love to see her as the Veep, I don't think she'll run. I don't believe that report. There might be talks going on behind the scenes, but I doubt it.
In every interview I've heard, she said she has absolutely no interest in election politics.

In the Democratic arena, we have a woman and a black man vying for top dog. Condi covers both demographics with grace, and her policies, from what I've seen, are more right-on than any of the major runners. But will it happen? That is the question.

Hmm...mmm, she is a woman of quality but I also heard she has no interest in being VP...I tend to believe that report. But maybe she is being swayed to change? I would definately support her. She has been a credit in the service to our country.!thumbsup!

I heard the same report. I would love to see her in the VP position and think it would boost McCain's elect-ability.
She seems to be a woman of virtue and that seems hard to find in the political arena these days ... well, regardless of gender, it's hard to find.
Blessings, Francine

I agree. I'd like to see her run. Although I'd need to hear her stance on a few more issues before making a final decision, she has two things I don't see in the other candidates already--integrity and class. I'd be pre-inclined to vote for her.

See this article (http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5j8o6yT9LVoKBG7ovBmKZwRc_BcuAD8VTPGV80). Condi's not going to run. Though I gotta say, my dream ticket would be Condi Rice as president and JC Watts vice president (Rice as president because she has more experience).

Couldn't help but think of this thread when I got an e-mail from a friend this evening... It shows why (in pictures) McCain needs Condi on the ticket. :) Kind of a short story in pictures.
I don't think I could post all of it in the thread, but if anyone wants at least a chuckle, you can PM me with your e-mail address and I'll try to forward to you.
