Hello, my name is Chris Depew. I have been writing for a long time but am just now coming out of the closet, so to speak. The one question most people ask is what do you write? Well, I write articles, stories, and anything that I need to about what is wrong the view that the world has on Christians. It is our fault and we have to fix it. I hope that my writing opens the eyes of everyone that calls themselves a Christian. This place is strange, I am sorry to say. There are certainly some mod nazis here. I think three of my post have already been deleted. One of which was me just saying, "Sorry I had the wrong link on my first post". Boy, I am not use to that on Forums. I am not sure I am going to like that.

I don't feel that's a very fair description. A couple of our mods just offered you a very warm welcome on this very thread, right above this post. :confused:

If you have questions about why certain moderating decisions were made, you're welcome to post in the support forum. I don't know the whole situation of the edits, but I'll be happy to look into it there. In the meantime, many questions regarding our policies may be resolved by visiting CW's terms of service (http://christianwriters.com/forums/faq.php?faq=new_faq_item#faq_tos).

Now, back on topic. I'd also like to offer you a proper welcome to our site. Your area of writing (correcting wrong ideas about Christians) is both interesting and much needed! I look forward to hearing more, and to seeing you around CW. :)

A few weeks ago we had some very vulgar spammers hit cw in their very first posts here. As a result, new members first few posts are now being approved manually rather than automatically. This is done so people won't have the shock of seeing any of the horrific photos that spammers have sometimes posted.

Unfortunately, it makes the first few posts invisible to everyone except the moderators and administrator. We do our best to try and approve posts asap, but we are only human and have lives outside of the net. Hope this helps you to see it's nothing personal. :)

I see, I see. When in fact I was being watched for being a spammer, I thought I was being edited. My bad. I guess I need to pay more attention. Maybe I will have my first five shortly. Thanks again. Oh and these forums are really bad to get spammers that is why there are five patches a day released for the software. If you don't keep up with the patches you will get caught and it is nearly impossible to keep up.

Ah, that makes sense! lol! :) I didn't remember editing any of your posts (or seeing any of the other mods edit) so I was a bit puzzled. Please don't be offended by the initial post moderation; it's universal, you weren't singled out. As Whitehawke said, we had some really nasty spammers come through a couple weeks back, and we've taken extra precautions.
