Having signed on two months ago, it would seem to be high-time that I stop in. I have had high hopes for seeing my work in print but, after ten years with nothing to show for it... I suppose that here I might find the encouragement to either continue or hang it up. I am quite aware of the possibility that I am a lousy writer.
At any rate, I will just say that I have written (re-written and re-written) four novels, a few satirical shorts, a hundred or so songs, and all I have ever had published was a letter to the editor. (Unless you want to count free-posting websites like starlitecafe). So I see no point in wasting anybody's time with a lot of biographical stuff that might be fiction, too.
I am, nonetheless, looking forward to meeting a few folks and swapping a few ideas, if I have any ideas of value.
May the Lord give you all something to smile about!

Tim

Hi there and welcome to cw. I wouldn't be too hasty to hang it up. After all, a writer is a writer is a writer. :) You should get plenty of encouragement here.

Hi there!
Welcome to CW! I think that you can never do too much writing. I've written numerous things..and never had any novels' or short stories published. It's ok!
I hope that we are a help to you though!

Blessings!

Hey, Tim! Welcome to our writing family. Always glad to have another adoptee join us. Be encouraged to keep at it. I think we all, at one time or another, feel like giving up. However, the Lord deposits that talent or gift within each of us to develop it, improving it through the years. It does take time, so don't give up. If you stay around here long enough, you'll find out that we will all be behind you, encouraging you to new heights of improvement and praying for you. Blessings on your writing.

My goodness, what a friendly crew! Thank you, very much! One of my characters is a young guitar picker who has taken a lot of knocks. At one point he asks if there is a difference in perserverance and chasing his tail. Overall, I don't sweat that anymore. Life is good these days, and my livlihood is secure. It's in the hands of the Lord, and I'm all set to find out why he directed me here. Looking forward to conversing and swapping verbage with you all!
