Question please help

I can't get 4b to work and if anyone has a good recipe for taco shells that look like bowls i would be so happy. I can find a hundred about taco salad but none of them that will tell me how to make the shell that the salad goes in. I found some that said to use the flour tortilla and bake it but I think they are made from scratch and deep fried. Can find the thing you fry them in but not the recipe.

Hey, JG! I did a search and all I could find was how to shape ready-made flour tortillas into a bowl. Strange. There must be a recipe somewhere. If I run across one, I'll let you know.

I remember seeing the mold to make such a shell. I'm curious...let us know what you find out.

Otherwise, I am wondering if a homemade pie crust made with shortening would work? Pie crusts can be light, tastey and flakey.

Around these parts of the world we have what is called "Fry Bread" - very bad for you but very good for the senses. :D I may be able to locate a recipe. Cooks who make this have their own recipes, which are personal favorite bests.

Lastly, how about pre-made bread dough shaped around the mold?

Just put the oil in a deep pan. Use the small corn tortillas and drop them in the greese and use a wooden spoon and hold it in the center of the tortilla. It will form around the spoon and make a bowl. I do it all the time.
