Yeah, Tamera, I thought it was a great resource also. I saw that they have had writing contests in the past that pay. However, I couldn't find a current one. Might not be up yet. You can also write articles for them.

If you're interested, you can send some writing samples (in the body of your email, not as an attachment) to catherine [at] wisegeek -dot- com. Writing samples don’t have to be similar in format and style as wiseGEEK articles, although they are preferred.
