I'm part of a 4 person team taking part in a geocaching competition. Last year we were able to take 1st place by the grace of God. This year that is going to be a bit more difficult now that the main opposing team is aware that they have competition.

We are heading out for the national forest where the competition is held, around noon today. It'll take us about 3 to 4 hours to get there and tomorrow we will be tromping through the woods very possibly over some rough terrain, attempting to locate as many caches as possible in as little time as possible. Please keep us in your prayers as we are traveling and competing. I'll let you know how it goes when I get back.

My neck is doing better. Still hurts a bit, but it's a lot better than it was. God is good. :)

Made it back safe and sound. The competition went great. We didn't take first, but we did get second. Which was awesome. The whole team came out a bit sore with quite a few scratches, but all in all it was fun and challenging. We managed to get all 30 caches in 2 hours and 50 minutes. That's better than last year. !thumbsup!

There was some question as to how the opposing team made it back with all the caches in the amount of time they did. I can only hope there was no cheating done.

Trilby, it went great. I had a lot of fun. The terrain was rougher than it was last year. There were steeper hills and a body of water we had to find a way around, but at least the caches were easier to locate. There were also 5 puzzle caches that added a bit more of a challenge.

My husband pulled something in his hip and one of the other team members had a few sore muscles. No major injuries and I count that a success. Much better than last year. We were all limping along after the competition last year.:rolleyes:
