A question for anyone who has an answer. Has anybody on this site ever dealt with createspace.com--a self-publishing site that I found through AuthorNation? Any comments would be helpful

They're connected with Amazon.com.

I dealt with them a little bit because I entered a novel in the Amazon.com "Breakthrough" novel contest. Even though I didn't final, I was offered a free copy of my book. I accepted and received it. I was pleased with that -- no shipping charge tacked on, either.

But as for their services and whether they are a good deal as a self-publisher, I can't say.

I've heard good things about Lulu, but I haven't self-published anything with either company.

Yes, Create Space is a relatively new venture for Amazon. I have seen mixed reviews as to how good they are. As to whether they are a viable option for you, it depends on your goals etc.

Also, if you are considering them, please be aware of the current situation going on with Amazon and Booksurge. There's more info on this forum and on many more across the Net right now.
