Well, congratulations. Just be sure and read the contract very carefully before you sign with them so you know what they're going to do for you.

caroljean,
___Try searching for this on google 'Dorrance publishing beware writer'. It will get you this link and others: http://www.writers.net/forum/read/11/21988/21985Vf
___I once got a letter from them myself, but I had a look on the net and did some background check. If I was you I would get to it. They are known as a POD that charges large sums. I don't know if they are crooks or not... but I would have a look around to make sure and I wouldn't pay them a dime! Just my openion. I also remmember reading that they just send out mail to anyone who has registerd with the Library of Congriss Copyright Office. Anyways, it's a dicition you will have to make on your own.

Carol Jean I'm very Happy for you, I hope that all goes well with your book. Please let me know what kind of experience you have with them because I was considering their offer as well. I have read some disturbing things about this publisher from a message that was on this websight a month ago, and it really bothered me because the posted message was something to the effect that they don't do much to help you market your book and make their money off of the writer who pays the initial fee of something like 2,000 dollars and gets 500 copies sitting in a wharehouse with poor binding. That's only what I recall from the message I saw last month. I would like to think that this isn't true because I have a passion to get published and show the world a new kind of christian sci-fi. If or when you get your book published please let me know how things went for you because I really want to know if I can trust this company of if I would be better off trying to publish and market my material myself. Thanks for reading my message.

To he that has ears, let him hear...
