I've got a term paper due tomorrow and approximately two paragraphs finished out of the minimum of seven pages required. I've got VBS tonight at 5:30 and an accountability group I'm supposed to start attending tomorrow at noon, so time is kind of an issue. I have so much to do at the shop and I need to be doing my other homework and I can't seem to get the paper written or get motivated to do anything.

I keep hopping online looking for research material and just bounce back here, or I get to fiddling with some of the stuff I'm writing for myself.

I had a good devotion time this morning and I just can't get back to the business of writing.

Oh well, I guess I better go for good and get this paper on paper so I don't blow my GPA out of the water.

I thought I was having that kind of day until I read about your day. Naw, comparatively summer is a cake walk here, so much so that I began contemplating the dangers of having too much time on ones hands, and Lord help me redeem it with care.
Of course, this thought occurred while I was sitting on the beach because we were off on a field trip...absolutely lovely, sparkling, silver sky, emerald water. And I thought it was beautiful enough to cause a lack of focus. So I began making a list of things I need to do and things I ought to finish this summer, because otherwise I know I'm prone to fritter away valuable time. I'll pray for you, man.. Discipline is partly defined by what you accomplish when you don't feel like accomplishing anything at all. 'Been there, still go there, still have plenty of times when I have to ask God to do something to help me get to work.

Hang in there, buddy.

And then something else happened today that was very distracting, but I'll save it for the creationist board. And no, I didn't see a dinosaur. Yet.

Lack of discipline and a lack of understanding, I guess. Seven pages on accounting practices related to the workplace and used for strategic planning. Oh well, I now have two and a half pages that say pretty much everything I know. I think I've got this thing way too simplified. But, the bright side is, my day got sideswiped by my dire need of a haircut and only one time slot for the week open--of course, this afternoon. So, me and my typically bad haircut will have to recoup and try again tonight. :D

At least I have VBS tonight. The youth look to me for ideas on being disruptive. Oh what fun!

One of those DAYS?....ha...you just described my LIFE! :D

Saying some prayers that Father will bless you with inspiration and motivation to complete that homework assignment!

Now see, it's this 'being disruptive' part where the real work begins. We want pointer's on this, maps, schematics....

Teusday night, they rigged up a mic, asked me if it was okay to use it, I said no, so they turned it in and drowed out the youth pastor anyway.

Really, I guess they're just looking to me to validate the disruptiveness of thier own crazy ideas.

I did offer to throw one out of the sound booth and let the little kids carry him mosh-pit style to the stage on Monday, though. :D
