Hi,
I'm new to this site. Any advice on how to best utilize it would be appreciated. I'm currently a single mom raising four kids, Vicky-14, Rosie-7, Shaelyn-6 and Daelin 4, he has cerebral palsy. I'm a stay at home mom but I yearn to write.
I'm trying to get more disciplined with all the kids being in school next fall. I also enrolled in the local community college part time to persue my degree in communications. I currently write some poetry, do tons of journaling to use at a later date. I have written a couple of articles for a magazine at my former church.
Hoping to hear from someone.
Thanks, Shannon

Hi there and welcome to cw. Glad to have you join us.
If you read the FAQ and guidelines at the top of each forum they should help you learn your way around the site. If you have any problems start a new thread in support. Writing related topics go in the writer's lounge.
Have fun and don't get lost. :)
I am also a stay at home, single mum.

Thanks for the advice and warm wishes of welcome. I've begun to make my way around the site a tiny bit. I could be in trouble. Unlike my e-mail I could be on here indefinately. I also wonder if this dosen't become a procrastination tool for us- Never procrastinating writers. Imagine how much we could get done if we weren't playing here... Ha ha.
Seriously I've already been blessed tonight just reading answers to other peoples questions.
Good nite,
Shannon

lol. I started a thread a year ago called Procrastinator's word challenge (http://christianwriters.com/forums/showthread.php?p=149341) and it's going strong.

Procrastination ! Us ?
Wecome to CW. I have a 4 year old grandson with a form of cerebral palsy (though no-one is actually saying that's what it is) he can't walk unaided and has no speech but understands alot more than one gives him credit for. He is, however, adorable !
