Publishing Question

I've learned about the Publisher/Agent connection (thanks guys), now tell me are there specific connections with Publishers and Printing companies or Book printers...I mean do some Printers just print and some Publishers just publish and enlist outside printing companies:confused:

Are you referring to self-publishing? Traditional publishing? Or both?
