I heard the following question being tossed about today... What do you all think?
If Obama and Clinton are deadlocked when the convention comes around, what are the chances the floor might nominate Gore in order to stop the Clinton-Obama battle and unite the party?

I don't think that Gore is even interested. He's too busy flying around in his private jet talking about cutting down on emissions.:)

I don't think Tipper would let him, despite his delusions of grandeur...
I also don't think that it would 'unite' the party at all... First, there'd be the floor fights, which do incredible damage. Then, you'd be bringing in what some perceive as a weak candidate, and a lot of people think Gore's a kook anyway. Anyone who says that he invented the internet and that the movie 'Love Story' is about he and his wife is certifiable and should be in the nuthouse.

I like Al, and I think he makes some sense about the Ozone and all of that. Loved his movie Inconvenient Truth If you aint seen it you ought to check it out.
I plan on writing him a letter and apologizing to him for not voting for him instead of Bush and i'm as right as they get. LOL.
Oh well I think anything right now adds some excitement to the race between Clinton and Obahma. I would like to see them toss in Gore to the mix.
A side note what McCain said about it not being the Gov job to bail out the house buyers that bought more house than they can afford ... well thats the first thing he's said I agreed with.

Can Gore run again? Because he won in 2000, and then was re-elected in 2004?
oh, wait a minute .......

Offered for consideration. As Christians we must stop sitting on the arena floor and waiting for the lions to devour us. Politics is not about politics, it is about principles and the only principles that count are the ones in the bible and while the conservatives (so claimed) have a long way to go to return America to a Christian nation, the Liberals have no intention of doing so at all and instead are planning the new Sodom and Gomorrah.
I hear many who say they pray and that is great, but often God's answer is staring us in the face everytime we look in the mirror and we remain apathetic.
If you are not a Christian activist I encourage you to be so. You will taste opression within your own church, even family.
God's Grace,
David

I think this may depend on what part of the country you're in and the size of your church. At my church, there's several people (myself included) that are incredibly active politically, trying to get things turned around. Most of my friends that are in politics are in the same boat as I. I don't feel oppression at all coming from my church. (Of course, my church has been the meeting spot for some of the events that the party has held in the last 2 years... That could make a difference...)

I hope that your church will keep up the good work and move from a few to many. It is so easy to label us as radicals and put us on the defensive with the media being on the liberal bent as well. I applaud your group for their efforts. I know of church's that have been removed as poling places this year. Something called seperation of church and state. LOL.
