I posted this at CW and would like to enlist the help of everyone here who is willing to leave an answer...
Hey, everyone! An idea for a new book popped into my head this morning. I don't know when I will get to it but am going to try. However, I need a little input from everyone.
In the world of preachers, teachers, and Christian writers, who do you respect the most that you would value their opinion? Thanks for your help!

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I was hoping to ask people like Max Lucado, Rick Warren, Ed Young, Jr., Kay Arthur, Charles Stanley, etc., a few questions and using their answers for the different chapters. If I say any more, I'm afraid I'll give away the book's concept.
When I say Christian writers, I was looking for those who write spiritual growth rather than fiction. I hope this clears things up a little.

You know... this is a tough question and one that should be easy to answer. I am finding as I think about it that I am coming up with more preachers/teachers/writers that I do NOT respect than those I do. The only writer I can think of is Chuck Missler. I love Francine Rivers but she is a fiction writer. Her books are historical though and she always has teachings in the back for group studies.
My absolute favorite preacher/teacher is Joe Focht http://www.ccphilly.org/audio/.
I also respect Chuck Smith and Charles Stanley.

Fiction writers might not be such a bad idea. Sadly, a lot of authors whose books have touched us have garnered more respect than many pastors who've tried more direct methods.
Ms. Rivers has an incredible testimony.

Charles Stanley is good. But probably the one I respect the most is Charles Crismier. He has a radio minsitry called Save America Ministries and has written a couple books.
I'm not a Rick Warren fan, nor Joel Osteen.
