The rabid hatred (not McCain's) for Christians comes shining through once again.

"Hagee's hate speech has no place in public discourse, and McCain's embrace of this figure raises serious questions about John McCain's character and his willingness to do anything to win," said Tom McMahon, executive director of the Democratic National Committee. The entire article: here:http://apnews.myway.com/article/20080301/D8V4B0EG0.html

Interesting article. But I think it's politics as usual. Democrats always try to look for something to prove that their opponant is racist, dishonest, or immoral. Nothing new.

I agree that it's probably just politics as usual. I disagree with the statement that follows it, however.

I'm not a Democrat, but I think we should be careful with such broad-stroke generalizations.

You're right, Phy. I'm sorry. SOME democrats - that's what I should have said.

It is my understanding that to keep cool with copyrights that anytime one posts a link, especially news that you had to use the exact headline in ones title, quote partially and provide a link. This is why I posted this story the way I did but I was really trying to highlight the quote that "Hagee's hate speech has no place in public discourse. I didn't point that out very well. It didn't begin with current political campaigning. I think that this article was dripping with hatred for Christians (whether one likes Hagee or not) and was another example of the propaganda that is fueling the Fairness Doctrine debate. "They" want to shut up the truth, especially those who speak from pulpits or on the radio. But "they" can be as hateful as they choose and no one better dare call them on it! I hear the truth classified as hate speech more and more all the time. You know the little saying about the frog sitting in tepid water that's getting hotter and hotter over the flame but he doesn't realize it and before he knows it he's been boiled?! I guess I don't want to be that frog. I don't want to just yawn things like this away. I am not saying I have the answer as to how to stop things like this but I think we should be informed so that when we are confronted with such things we can take a stand. We can at least pray :).
