So did anyone else brave the giant vegetables this last weekend?
We took our three year old to see the New VeggieTales pirate film and.....it was a bit boring. However, the tiny children in the audience seemed to love it. Especially the part with the menacing cheese curls.
The most enjoyment I took from the experience was listening to the tiny voiced comments and, of course, watching other parents try their darndest to stay awake.
Not a hit out of the ballpark for them. Their writing has been better many times before. It really just felt like an extended version of one of their video tapes.
Anyway, that's my two coppers, as Lynnmosher likes to say. For parents with tiny children it's nice to have a choice once in a while that's as harmless as cheesecake. This Galaxy Quest style plot certainly fit that bill. They really were the pirates who don't do anything.
