Are you a fan of these kinds of movies where they can't ever seem to let the Character rest. Why don't they just get a weekly show.

I have not watched any Rambo movie but i have seen most of the Rocky movies i hate to admit. What is your favorite repeat movie or what movie would you like to see repeated.

I like the bond movies with Pierce and I know this isn't exactly in the same boat with Rambo but it's all I could think of. LOL. I will say I don't like this new bond I want Pierce back i don't care if he is getting older. Bond needs to get old a little don't he. LOL

Ah, John Rambo.... You're no Chuck Norris.

*Ahem*

Generally, JG, I'm with you. Save for rare instances (James Bond being one that comes to mind) these series that go on "indefinitely" are ridiculous. How many covert missions are in John Rambo, anyway? How many times do we have to kill Freddy, Jason, or the "Alien"? How many times is one grizzled, New York cop going to find himself the one man who can save the world in the midst of an international incident?

One webcomic, Penny Arcade, captured my thoughts on these pretty well – brain poison (http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2007/07/16).

With that said, here are some series that have (IMHO) "gone on" to terrific effect...

-Indiana Jones
-Godzilla
-A slight majority of the James Bond movies
-Shaft!

I really can't think of any more though, and the last one I mentioned was stretching it...

Shaft .............. we walked out on that one.
Rocky series are classics.

They are the typical underdog wins storyline. It is a home run as far as movie themes go.
