Well, ASF's "Ignore the Machine" is better than both Galactic Cowboys "Rage Against the Machine", and just about anything that band Rage Against the Machine ever did.
Besides, if I were raging against the mahcine, I'd be writing visceral editorials, and not some screwy fantasy epic. :)

Faule Dr Roane
http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=15456
The two songs, Dark Day and Faule Dr Roane represent the latest creative output from the legendary Walsh and an all-star collection of players. Joel Kosche, lead guitarist for multi-platinum recording artist Collective Soul, played guitar and bass. Studio veteran and double bass drum technique pioneer, Joe Franco, handled the drumming and Kansas violinist David Ragsdale was tapped to add the violin parts.

My sister and I have a few similarities where music is concerned, but most of the time, we're way far apart. It's gotten worse since I got married.
The weird thing is that we both have very similar tastes in movies (we both love spy movies and action flicks.)
Oh, listening to the Rush Limbaugh stream right now, plus all my coworkers talking, walking, etc. Need to go listen to the sound of the microwave cooking my 1st lunch...

LOL! I love Paul too, Jacks! When I about 14 or so, my mom, who was in charge of something in the Republican Party (can't remember if it was Congressional level or State level) at the time, got Paul Shanklin to come in and do an event/fundraiser for us. Somewhere, I have a copy of the CD of his (I think it's called 'This Land Was Your Land') with a cartoonish Bill Clinton in a Superman outfit--autographed. :) Pretty cool.
Anyway, now it's the show--I'm a news junkie, too. Jason Lewis from Minneapolis is substituting. He's pretty good--and has a lot to say about the oil stuff, which we're talking about in another thread.

Bitter thoughts became your every waking breath
Save the nights your hollow dreams revealed the sweet release of death
In your thoughts you played a symphony of self
But your soul had bled a darker song of close to nothing left
Oh, The deliverance of blade and flame, your love
And greater is the blood
[Chorus:]
You’ll find it in the veil of night where solitude is born
In the emptiness of broken flesh, at the mercy of the thorns
You’ll find it in the veil of night where solitude is born
In the emptiness of broken flesh, at the mercy of the thorns
Every line a path into an empty heart
Where the words of now forgotten love fall silent in the dark
Oh, The deliverance of blade and flame, your love
And greater is the blood
[Chorus]
Sister, don’t you sleep through your own eulogy
Don’t sever what you are for what you couldn’t be

Yeah, they're Irish... really Irish.
They don't really have an official site or anything as they're only sort of still around. They play reunion shows (with a fair amount of frequency, I might add) but they haven't released much new material since the very early 90s.
This is a great site for info about the band here...

Song: Bleed Me Dry
You try to take it all I have
Never releasing
At this point my chance of survival
Quickly decreasing
Nothing in my world you leave me
Yeah gone forever
Nursing the wounds that you've left me
Never recover
Bleed me dry
Bleed me dry
suck..........
your case your preaching
I've heard it and I've discovered
How can you preach love
You've shown me you hate each other
Something in my mind don't seem right
I must be crazy
You think you can spit in my face
And it won't phase me
Bleed me dry
Bleed me dry
suck..........
Sucking the life out of everything
I hold sacred
Take all you want till your finished
And I'm left naked
Crushing my will to continue
So elegantly
Cover my mouth so I can't breath
You suffocate me
Bleed me dry
Bleed me dry
suck..........
