I'd like to add myself to the historical fiction section, but I could not figure out how to do it.

Hi Rita,

The resource directory is imported from DMOZ, so you will need to add your listing through their site. The exact URL to add your site to the historical fiction authors section is http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/add.cgi?where=/Arts/Literature/Genres/Historical_Fiction/Authors/. Simply fill out and submit the form at that url, and they will review your site for inclusion.
