View Full Version : A Gift From an Artist

What wondrous creative genius, what magical creation made,
Who could reject such artistry, why disavow such beauty?

The recipient of such a prize, the taker of such a gift,
What right, or want, could one have to throw this work away?

When the first gazed upon Mona sitting on her seat of canvas,
Did that one desire to do her harm and take away the artist’s pride?

Would you, could you, have turned a deaf ear and muted Beethoven’s Fifth,
Having heard each note directed by its composer to its proper place upon that stage?

If in your power you held the possibility of patching up a tremendous hole in Mother Earth,
Would you have renamed that grandeur canyon “Fixed,” or “Filled,” or “Prime Real Estate?”

And yet a more masterful piece of art exists today.

Its back drop isn’t canvas, but love.

Its symbols aren’t music notes, but purpose.

Its beauty isn’t nature, but the imagery of God.

Some would call your baby a choice. Some would call her insignificant. Some would call her a burden.

But her creator just sits back and calls her his Mona Lisa, his 5th Symphony, his Grand Canyon!

Treasure this gift from God. Put her in the best frame, on the best stage, and don’t forget how God sees her…

As one of his wonders of the world!

Beautiful. How sad our society is so hardened and takes away God's handiwork.

It is very sad. I have five children and could not imagine life without them. I view each of them as borrowed treasures from Heaven. Thank you for your comment. God bless.
