Wow, we are growing quickly! :) Thanks so much to all of you that have made ChristianWriters.com not just a web site, but a real community. I pray that the Lord will see fit to continue blessing us all!

Here's the deal; I am going to perform major upgrades to the CW site beginning this weekend. Although the first improvements are more "behind the scenes" type stuff, I would also like to add more interactivity, tools and features. I'd like to know what type of improvements and features you would find useful. I have listed some of my ideas below. Please respond to this post with your ideas and feedback! :)

Some of the ideas I have in mind are:

Features
An entry page dedicated exclusively to the CW Magazine, for people who are not necessarily writers, but would like to browse member work.
Improved Book Shop, highlighting books by our members. This will be especially visible on the magazine entry page (see above.)
Increased articles (both secular and Christian) regarding the writing craft, writing tips, etc.
Open Story - this is where one person starts the story and writes approximately a chapter. Another member writers the next chapter and so on.
member chat
The long-awaited writer market and resource listings.
*Possibly* e-mail boxes (like hotmail, etc.) for our members. No advertising, spam filtered, yourname@ChristianWriters.com address, all that good stuff. Feasibility for this depends greatly on finances, as the programs for this are very expensive.

Functionality
Greater member control over submissions. When logged in, the author of a published story will have the option to make changes to his/her work online by following a link from the story itself. The "edit this story" link will only appear to the author of the story.
Direct link from a member's story bylines to their user profile. Readers may more easily find out information about a member's work, web site, etc.
Completely dynamic site. In the future, I am considering adding different user "styles" so that users/readers can view the site in their choice of colors/styles. Going completely dynamic will make this possible.

What are your suggestions?

Thanks! :)
