This is my Christmas card this year.

The Savior of mankind was He,
Yet still in rank humility,
‘Mid chaos, fear, uncertainty,
In darkest anonymity,
He came.

No human fame was His that day.
Atop the stable manger’s hay,
All wrapped in swaddling clothes He lay.
And in that unassuming way
He came.

He did not come to triumph o’er
Some earthly government in war.
His plan was infinitely more:
To open for us Heaven’s door
He came.

I like the way your poem encapsulates the way Christ came and why He came. It is a most fitting Christmas poem.
