I disagreed with one of their answers to a question. 1 Samuel tells about David's life (my answer), 2 Samuel tells about David as king (theirs, to which book tells about David's life).

Thanks for the link. I need to retake it. I got 2/3 of the way through it and got cut off. And I was doing so well...phooey!

Me too. I guess we are that good. I made 85 on the first one and 95 on the 2nd one.

Congratulations! You passed! You're a Bible Wiz! That's a cut and paste from that fun site.
Like the buzzer (from Staples) on my bosses desk, 'that was easy'.
Slap, slap, slap. (That's me patting myself on my back.):D

First Samuel starts with Samuel being born, Samuel growing up, Samuel becoming an old man, eventually introducing David in chapter 17, more than half way of the 30 chapters. Second Samuel begins with David running from Saul and ends with David growing old.
I'd have to agree with their answer - because ALL 24 chapters of 2nd Samuel deals with David's life.

Point taken, Scotsman. I only meant that 1 Samuel records David's formative years, even if it did start halfway through the book. 2 Samuel goes into his adult life, especially in the office of king.

I see your point. Don't you just hate trick questions? Me too.

A great quiz. I did pretty well. Lowest 90%. I am a bit embarrassed about that. Christians should be known as "People of the Book."

Buck up, Rev. Terry. Not everyone can know 100% of the Bible, including experienced ministers. 90% is quite good. I missed only one question on each of the three levels, and though I was disappointed by that, I realized there were several questions that made me pause to figure out what the question was asking. They weren't even proper questions, either, just incomplete phrases.
God bless you.

Whoops. You mean there was more than one quiz on that site.
After I did my "test", I never checked out anything more, I patted myself on my humbled back and came right back here to brag.
Humble pie  doesn't swallow  as easy as a brag! Sorry!

I missed one on the Intermediate section, but none on the other two. However, some of the questions required thinking about because of the way they were worded, not all of them were clear. But the one I missed, I just missed, didn't know it. No excuses.

Here some questions, do you know the answer. I discovered them during the putting together of sermons.
What is the "eye of the needle" a nickname for?
What was called the "rooster's crow" in Jerusalem?
Who was the Father of Bartimaeus?
Who was Bathsheba's grandfather?
The last question is the only one where the answer is found in the Bible. The first three are out of historical information from the time period . My purpose is to show the value of application of authentic historical writing to the Bible. There are times when the other literature can help bring out a better understanding of some Biblical information.

Well, I can tell you Bartimaeus' father was probably Timaeus. :p

Is that those arched "doorways" throughout the Old City, that a mounted camel couldn't fit through, thus preventing a raiding army?

Scotsman, I'm with you. That's what I thought. Bathsheba's grandfather was Ahithophel. No, I'm not smart. I just looked it up. I have no idea what the rooster's crow is.
I have some fun ones when we get to the answers for these.

I was going to say that the father of Bartimaeus was Homermaeus. ;)

What is the "eye of the needle" a nickname for? A narrow gate into Jerusalem, so narrow that a camel going through it had to be unloaded before it could pass.
What was called the "rooster's crow" in Jerusalem? A watchman's shout early in the morning.
Who was the Father of Bartimaeus? Timaeus, hence the name: Bar (son of) Timaeus. That's in Mark 10:46.
Who was Bathsheba's grandfather? David's adviser, Ahithophel. 2 Samuel 23:34
The first two I answered from memory; I may not have remembered all the details. The third is also in the Bible, as is the fourth, but I had to research the fourth one to know the answer. Thanks, Terry, that was interesting. !thumbsup!
Oops! :o I forgot to watch for a change in page numbers before I posted. Sorry, there were other answers before mine.
