Last night, I had a dream..i mean nightmare, that my 20 month old son had been taken to Heaven already. The pain I felt in my dream of the seperation was so intense that it woke me up in sheer terror. Needless to say, I was thankful it was only a dream. Immediately I asked God for His grace and comfort. He lead me to Isaiah 42:3 and 43:2. God reminded me that people need to hear about His salvation or they will experience this seperation as real. What are your thoughts on God using dreams?

Ministering amongst Muslims from throughout the Middle East, we often heard testimonies of men and woman whose "conversion" was the result of dreaming about Isa (Jesus). Often it was a similar dream they all shared, where Jesus held out His hands and instructed them to come unto Him and learn of Him.

Their faith in Him began with their dream. I often wondered if those dreams are the result of many praying for the Lord of the harvest to reach those who are lost?

Mrs. C, God has shown me a number of things through dreams. He uses what is revelant to each individual and uses any means possible to get His message across to each one, even through dreams, so that they will understand His heart. It is up to each of us to seek, from Him, the answer, which God obviously gave you. As the heavenly Father, He knew you would understand, at your stage of life, that a parental picture of those being lost without Him would touch your heart. I always feel honored when God chooses to drop a dream in my sleep. Be blessed.

I dream vividly and sometimes wish I didn't. My husband says he never remembers his dreams. Mine, for the most part, feel like I am fighting spiritual warfare. I have shouted scripture in my dreams, because of the fear my dreams bring.

God is working and showing us things in our everyday life. Since he is teaching us while we are awake why not while we are dreaming? Like you I dream extremely vividly. On occasion they are terrifying and I wake only to be able to sleep again after I have prayed or read the Bible. What many don't realize is we are in a constant spiritual battle that doesn't always stop when you close your eyes. I have always taken comfort in what my Dad use to say, if you don't feel like you are struggling and there are no obstacles in your life that is when you have to worry. That means satan or whatever your religion calls it has no need to try you because he already has you. Think about Job, and the struggles he went through. God is always there for us, even in our dreams!!!!!!

I definitely believe our Lord allows us to dream things that will affect us emotionally and spiritually. Sometimes even physically.

I have had so MANY dreams that have come true. I take them as God wanting me to always know that He is aware of ALL the things that will happen in our Lives and to always hang onto that no matter what is going on.

If He wants us to know beforehand, He'll tell us. Not so we can change what is coming but so we will recognize what is happening. Only with later introspection and soul-searching and much prayer can we discern the wisdoms God is granting us by this peek into our future.

To me it just lets me know I am still on the right path and held safely in His Hands.
