Someone help me figure out where to put my piece. If I have a dream that revels things about me in our real life and I want the audiences opinion as well as me working through my dream to figure out what it means. What secton would I put it in???
My first thought was to put it in nonfiction since it has a Christian message?
Any suggestions....

Most of my dreams are fiction, but it not sure may be we need another section for dreams. I wish there was more of a breakdown like in the private threads. Where we know what were reading other than fiction or non fiction. I haven't posted a novel yet but when I do I will post at the top Romance...

I had to reread your post a couple times before I figured out what your asking. But, I think that your piece would probably fit best in the nonfiction section, since it probably deals more with interpreting dreams and the like.

One scene in my novel manuscript came straight from a dream .... but I don't think that was the question.

I agree with Liberty. Dream analysis would be nonfiction.
My answer to your original question (without your explanation) is that dreams are fiction based on real experiences, facts, and/or concerns.
Observation: Like jacks girl suggested, it seems that the topic of dreams comes up often around here. That's not a complaint. I like dreams! ;)

A dream thread could be started under General Topics couldn't it? Just shoot a question out there...Dreams are interesting. I am certain there would be plenty of response.

Wow,
Thank you all for responding. I remembered putting this new thread in and could not find it the other day. Thank goodness they sent me an email to respond back. I would have had you all waiting. LOL
I really appreciate everyones advice. I could actually make this into a book since all of my questions in this piece have my imagination running in many directions. Well look for my thread in nonfiction it will be under" Dreams that become more".
Blessing to you all this lovely weekend. It is going to be so beautiful in the low 70's (maryland)

I see that you all have captions under your comment. I have tried to go into my account and update it with my blogspot website and my favorite verse but it doesn't look like it is showing on mine. Do you all see anything under my responses.
Thanks

I think it is just part of the signature under your account right?

If you're talking about the text under the straight line, that is our signature. You can go into your Control Panel and click "Edit Signature" on the left side, and type anything you want. That way you don't have to keep signing your name with every post.
As for dreams, I would consider the dreams themselves to be fiction, but their reality and analyses are not fiction.

I had a dream one night that my dog was gone and I looked all over for her but couldn't find her anywhere. When I awoke I soon discovered that my dog was infact gone. I think the dream was God's way of preparing me for that day.
I had rescued her as a puppy off a busy highway. She had two injured front legs, which I splinted with tongue depressors and first aid tape. I gave her lots of milk to drink and the next morning took off her "splints." Her legs were all better.:)
She was a border collie and we named her Prancer because when she was excited she would do a kind of a high step when she walked. She was the smartest dog I ever had.
Anyway, I made it through that day we discovered her missing. Somehow the dream prepared me for the loss.
I had another dream before my divorce that helped me get through that and yet another dream that helped me know that my husband David was part of God's plan for me.
I do believe that dreams are fiction and I am no mystic person...but I believe God can and does use dreams; maybe not for everyone but for some.
In my case, I think that is when He can break through my always thinking brain. :o
I think that dreams are non-fiction. In addition to previous replies about dream analysis I want to add that most of people do believe and hope their dream will come true. And I understand fiction as the complete product of aythor's fantasy.

Isn't it funny how some dreams seem to stay with you but others you have difficulty recalling.

Yes that is strange. The ones you don't want to remember you do and the ones you want to just will not resurface.

Do you believe God still speaks through dreams today like he did with Joseph (in Genesis) and Joseph (in the Gospels)?

Not as much as before. I have just posted an extensive description of dispensations in the tattooing thread. Basically, I believe prophetic dreams are not as common today, because we have God's completed Word to rely on.
