HI
I have written a short piece that I feel would be suitable for one of those kid's books that have one or two sentences per page.. maybe a rebus? you know, where I circle the words that I want a picture drawn of? that's a rebus, right?

ANYwho.. I cannot think of what market to look to for that. prob about 8 pages or so.. maybe one of those hard paged books...does ANYone know what I mean? HELP! :)

thanks!

I think they are called board books. Here's a link to check out.

A picture book has one or two sentences per page, and a board book is a type of picture book...but I don't think that's what Connie is describing.

I've never heard of a book where the reader circles words of things they want to see illustrated....

I know what you mean Connie, but I don't know the correct term for that particular type of book. They are early readers to help the kids 'read' the story.

'Johnny wanted a tiger (insert picture of tiger here instead of word) for his birthday.'

Terrible example, I know, but that is what you mean, right?

I will look at my children's books and see if there is any publishing info on them. Get back to you soon.

Hey guys and thanks for all the help!

actually what I mean is the AUTHOR circles the words they want illustrated. Not that I wanted pictures instead of words... for example... the first couple of sentences in the book would be.. the NAME of the book is Did you Know?

Did you know that God made the sky above and the ground below?

Did you know?
Did you know that God made the cow say moo and the ocean blue?
Did you know?

and so on....

and of course, there would be illustrations.. of the sky and ground and a cow...

that's what I'm speaking of....

THANKS guys!
