It was December 26th 2006. I was on my knees crying before the Lord again. I despised my job, even though I was bringing home over $1200 every 2 weeks. As I sobbed, I told Him everything that he already knew....

In may 2005 I had been hired on as a Family Services Coordinator at a Tissue Donation company. It was my job to evaluate whether or not people who died were suitable to donate tissues and eyes to others.

Often times as I would drive to work a headache would form at the back of my head, spreading slowly to my whole body. No matter how much I would pray, when I got to work and finally managed to drag myself out of my car, My headaches had become debilitating. By the end of a shift I had popped at least 4 Ibuprophin, was sleepy, and grumpy.

Life became even worse for me after I complained about certain co-workers who were selling sex toys at work. I was now the target of talk and ridicule. there was a set of rules for me and a set of rules for everyone else.

So there I was, 7 months later, on my knees before the Lord.

" Dear God,
Where is this peace that passeth all understanding? Where are the green pastures and still waters that David sang about? I don't want to throw away your blessings but I'm miserable here. Help me to make it through another day. If you are willing change my life.
I Jesus name,
Amen"

The very next day I was fired.

Be careful what you ask God for, He may answer in ways you didn't expect. Jesus said in Mathew 7:7-11

Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; Knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds;and to him who knocks the door will be opened to him.

For which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to children, how much more will your father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

God knew what I needed and He gave me what my heart longed for. In the last 2 months God has provided for me and my family. We have a roof over our head. We have food, though we don't eat steak very often. My relationship with our creator has grown stronger and I found myself starting to live in the land of the living again.

Let me leave you with 2 more verses from the Bible. The first is how Jesus finished out the above statement:
Matt 7: 12
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you. For this sums up the law of the prophets.

2 Cor 9:8
And God is able to make all Grace abound in you
so that in all things
at all times
having all you need
you will abound in every good work

This is not the only time that Christ has answered my prayers in amazing ways, but that is for a future article. :D
