Hi everybody,

The "buddy list" is much more basic than Yahoo or other messaging systems. It simply does the following:

1) adds your buddy's name and a shortcut to privately message your buddy through your user control panel.

2) tells you if your buddy is online to receive your message immediately.

So basically, it is a tool to make messaging your friends more convenient.
