I'm looking for a writer to team'up with. My interests are in comicBooks, but I'm willing to venture into other avenues. What I really want to do is a comicbook on a character like Samson. Keeping the storyline true to the bible's version, while giving it the modern look that make comicbooks so appealing to people of all ages.

Wow. what a great coincidence. actually, i don't believe in coincidences, since all things happen according to God's will and plan.
i'm also looking for an artist to do a comic book with. i'd actually like to do a more contemporary story (maybe a thriller), but anything that suits the comic book format best would be good enough for now.
there are a few hindrances, however. one is that i am only an amateur writer but i am trying my best with new ideas and influences. two is that i am not familiar with writing for a comic book format. i suppose the format of the script resembles that of a screen play?
Anyway, i love comic books too. i love drawing and have been drawing since i was a little boy. however, i don't seem to have the time and energy to draw a comic book these days.

I love comic books, the X-Men are my favorite. I guess you know by now who my favorite character of the group is. How long is the comic book series going to be? I mean how many issues are you planning on making? I know some are special editions and some go on for years. lol...the only thing I don't like is when Hollywood tries to make the comic book series into a movie. More so than not, they mess it up. They never stay within the boundaries of the story. They branch out too far. Hope everything goes great with it.

Hey prowellman and wolverine,
sorry it took me a while to reply. yeah, haha.. xmen is my favorite too. unfortunately i don't have the money to buy all thier books every month. and guess what, my favorite is also wolverine. there's just some sort of... humanity in his story...
well, the series can be a limited story like neil gaiman's sandman. know that one? we can just plot a story first, then write the details, so that we know exactly what will be going on in each issue.
well, it's not too bad when comic industry guys make the movies. sometimes. i'd say xmen and especially spiderman were pretty good. consistency with the orginal. that's the key. but even if they sort of adapt it, if it's done well it's not that bad, don't you think? i'm talking about witchblade.
but you're right. most of the time they just ruin it. commercialism, i guess.
but anyway, about the comic. how about we do modern stories based on biblical characters? it's sort of a modern adaptation of the bible. more or less. what do you think?

Hi. That sounds good. I like war myself. Whenever I go to the movies it either to see something funny or stuff blowing up, explosions. But anytime you write a story, people have to be able to relate with it some kind of way right from the start. It keeps their attention. Last weekend, I went to see "The Incredible Hulk." It wasn't that incredible. They lost me from the start. They rushed the dialogue or lack of it. They jumped between one thing and the next. The story wasn't very clear, it was like they were going through the motionsin telling us about the Hulk's history. The special effects were awesome. But the dialogue and the storyline was so far out of the way in some scenes it killed the whole thing.
I have written a small story. You want to read it? If so, go to www.ourchurch.com/view/?pageID=135141 This should be a direct link to it. Let me know what you think of it:) I have a couple of ideas for stories but at best just outlines for them. One is about spiritual warfare; the battle behind the scences so to speak. The other is about taking matters into your own hands. Both of these would be very long stories and I never have time, even patience some days to write them into stories. But I can give it a try. I'll see how the Lord leads me.
