Why can't I edit my posts?

It says something like, "you've attempted to edit someone else's post"...

Please make sure that you are clicking the "edit" button that appears below your post instead of above it. If this doesn't fix things, and you continue to experience this issue, please let me know.

I've just tried again, and here's what it says:

1. You do not have permission to access the page that you were trying to. Are you trying to edit someone else's post or trying to access administrative features? Check that you are allowed to perform this action in the Forum Rules.
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

The little window below says, "Logged in: Laura" - so I am logged in under my username.

Hi Laura,

I looked up your user status, and it appears that your account is still awaiting e-mail confirmation. Once you reply to the e-mail confirmation that was sent to you when you opened the account, your account will be verified and you will automatically be granted edit privledges.

I don't have any way to re-send the e-mail, but I did change your status from "pending." You should have full access privledges now.
