MythArc Magazine (http://www.mytharc.com/magazine/index.html) is a new online fiction e-zine looking for new voices in contemporary fiction.
Submission Guidelines
We welcome new short stories, poetry, essays, and even the occasional novel or novella. To send us your wonderful works, please follow these simple rules:
1. All submissions must be in Word or rich text format - sent as an attachment.
2. Send your email to sharon@mytharc.com with the word SUBMISSION in the subject line.
3. All works should relate in some way to the theme of good versus evil - remember, the theme of MythArc is the fight between Satan's camp and God's camp. Think X-Files, Twilight Zone, One Step Beyond, etc. - you can write detective fiction or a supernatural whodunit, as long as the angelic battle theme is there with regard to how it affects mankind. Remember, MythArc is from a Christian worldview, but we don't expect an overt evangelical work. We at MythArc want to present excellent fiction that is highly readable and thought-provoking written by Christians. Let's show the world that believers can send chills up their collective spine just as well as non-believers and without the humanist viewpoint and excessive use of profanity and sex!
4. Unfortunately, at this point, we are not paying for content. If your work is accepted for inclusion in a future issue, you will have the great joy of knowing your treasure is being read by many new fans! For now, consider this a way to fine-tune your talent and establish yourself in a community of published authors.
5. We reserve the right to suggest editorial changes to content, but we will always discuss this with you in advance. We will not make changes without your knowledge.
6. We seek first time electronic publishing rights. If your work has appeared on another electronic publication, please let us know - sometimes we can make exceptions, provided it does not infringe upon an active copyright.
7. It may take as long as three weeks for us to review your work(s). Please feel free to email us at anytime with questions. We will respond to you with an answer as soon as possible - with either an acceptance, an acceptance upon changes, or an email explaining why your work(s) is not right for us at this time.
Our Beliefs
We believe in the inerrant Word of God, the Holy Bible in its original languages as inspired by the Holy Spirit through the pens of men. We believe in the virgin birth, that Jesus Christ came to earth as wholly God and wholly man, and that He died, rose again on the third day, and that He ascended into heaven in the presence of His followers, and that He will return to establish His millennial kingdom very soon. We believe that Jesus Christ is The Way, The Truth, and The Life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Jesus. We believe that Grace alone is the way to salvation - that we need only believe that God sent His Son, that Jesus Christ came - sacrificed His life for us - and rose again - in payment for our sins, and that anyone who believes in Christ and confesses this before God will be saved. We believe in a triune Godhead - The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit - each an individual person of this Godhead. We believe that this Godhead created the universe and all that is in it. We believe that Adam and Eve were real people, and that their original sin led to the need for Jesus Christ's sacrifice on Calvary. We believe that God is a just and loving Father, and we praise and thank Him for sending His Son. We thank Jesus for His obedience, and we look forward to the day when we can meet Him face to face. We praise God for the gift of His Holy Spirit in our lives, and we believe it is wrong to quench or deny that spirit.
