I've recently seen some interest in a private short story critique group, and am considering starting one here on CW. If you're interested in joining, please read the information and follow the directions to apply on our Private Peer Critique Group Information (http://4Believers.com/writers/index.php?page=privategroups) page. If enough people respond, I'll set it up.

Thanks! :)

Hey Bekka,
_____I write short stories all the time, and I think the crew I'm with can look over them just fine. Merry has posted one of hers, and we edited it to peaces. I just thought I should let you know, and say, you could just sign people up into the right style (fantacy, horror, so forth) and let them fly in there. Just an idea to keep things simple. :)

_____You're welcome, and I do think it's a good idea to let people know that their short stories are welcomed in the crews.

I think I've been a member for about two weeks--I hope! You can see that I'm fairly active here--still nosing around and learning--but am dead serious about getting "in-depth" critiques on my stories. Hopefully some from more experienced writers that have been published? My wife is an English teacher, so most of the basics are taken care of, but her training is only in language arts, not creative writing. I need input in areas like; building suspense, continuity of imagery (using figurative language), etc. I'm absolutely certain that God has led me here. I feel strongly bonded in the Spirit to this group. I can crit free-style poetry fairly well, as that's my style and training, but will have to learn how to crit prose to contribute. Am willing to learn.
I just requested the private crit group under the heading of novel length non-fiction, but I think it would be short story length; 6, or 7,000 words. You didn't have that category listed? Hope I won't get rejected if I mis-counted the length of my membership?
Thanks.

Jim.
