Pick one or do all three:
Using only the sense of hearing, describe breakfast in three sentences or less.
Using only the sense of smell, describe a sunset in three sentences or less.
Using only the sense of touch, describe spring in three sentences or less.
Exercise your senses. Stretch for new and original.
Have fun!~~~ ppr

Using only the sense of hearing, describe breakfast in three sentences or less.
Eggs rattle against the pot, as the water boils; shells crackle in pealing them. Juice sloshes into the glasses while being poured, and on its way to the table. Cereal tinkles hitting the bowl as banana slices plop into the cereal and milk.

I love that! I was expecting folks to sizzle bacon, but you chose different sounds!
Thanks for playing!~~~ppr

The dog tries hide behind his paws as the sound of scraping toast accompanies the kitchen Fire Alarm in the early morning concert 'DANGER FIRE'
The sweet aroma of Jasmine and Honeysuckle invading the nostrils as another Sunset ends the day
Cocus's (should that be Croci) touched by the early morning sunshine lift their heads to scream out 'IT'S SPRING'.
Daffodils stretch as though to touch the spring sky, their trumpets in turn touched roughly by the screaming March winds play 'IT'S SPRING'
Yellow, Red, Orange and Crimson Tulips mingle with each other their petals velvety to the touch whisper loudly 'IT's SPRING'.

Using only the sense of smell, describe a sunset in three sentences or less.
The sun sank behind the distant hills, leaving behind a sky bathed in molten gold. The warm evening air was infused with the scent of hunnysuckel and the enticing smell of distant of barbecues.

I like that. No scent declares spring/summer more than a bbq pit! ;)

Freshly washed coffee cups rattle in a plastic tray as Millie stacks them behind the counter. Silverware meets plate with a flat metallic clack, and punctuates the low murmur of a dozen indistinguishable conversations. Traffic races down the highway outside, lifting cold March rain into a swirling mist that desperately beats against the windows.

I looked out the window today and watched the sun set over the oaks. The colors were so vivid- deep azure giving way to magenta, red, then bright orange. It was if the sky were in a hurry to catch fire. But the stark branches of the naked oaks robbed the sunset of its warmth; lending instead a feeling of loss, of loneliness. It was a picture more befitting Halloween- it held no promise of spring.

Great diner scene in the first Steeeve, and wonderful visuals in the second. You do well with the senses!

I had a blast with your challenge, pprmint777! As a result, I now have two short pieces about finished. It is strange what stirs the blood. Thank you!

The whir of the blender signaled to Bandit it was time to scram out the back door. Frozen strawberries, blueberries, banana and spinach rattled loudly like marbles (yes, I used a ly adverb :-) ) as they hit against the sides of the container, mixing the ingredients together as one. I slurped the smoothie, and smacked my lips to the last drop!

Giggle, Laina! My critters scramble loudly out the back door whenever I use an appliance, too!
Good post!

The dog jumps as the grinder grabs the first beans, whining and crackling as it chews them into a fine dust. The pipes grumble as the first burst of water is drawn to fill the pot. Soon the most prized of kitchen toys is dripping out that which lifts the eyelids, quickens the heart and stirs the blood.
Using only the sense of smell, describe a sunset in three sentences or less.
As the family gathers on the patio, the scents of sunset parade by each nose. A whiff of citronella, the days last glass of lemonade, freshly washed bodies of children and the smoky aroma wafting from the chimanea.
Using only the sense of touch, describe spring in three sentences or less.
The world is new and I can feel it when I cradle a fuzzy new kitten with tickling whiskers.
The world is new and I can feel it in the soft caress of the years first butterfly against my cheek.
The world is new and I can feel it as the first burst of watermelon juice slips over my chin.
