I am looking for some ideas for something that I have already posted in one of the critique forums. Do believe that we as Christians can learn godly traits from animals? Did God ever teach you something about him through animals. If so what and how? What do make of the trends of people looking to animals as heroes? What does that say about us? You can look at what I wrote at the following thread and then post your ideas here or on that thread Try to relate it all back to scripture to avoid going off tangents.

I'm not really sure this is what you wanted. But I enjoyed writing it.

I think we can learn a lot from a way an animal conducts their life. They live each day to the fullest. They seem to have their own way of respecting and loving God. Jack my little slice of heaven seems to praise God by enjoying his life that was especially created for him.

His every being speaks of God the creator. His little eye lashes are so unique, one side of his face is brown and the other white, and his right side of his eye lashes are white as the other is brown. He has a little bounce in his step when he's accomplished something. He lays and lifts his nose into the air as if to be so thankful to be here.

His brown eyes are so full of life, joy and love, and I can't help but think he knows he's loved by myself and his creator. He plays and runs being everything God made him to be. He often watches me as I pray and lays down in a near by chair seeming to know I'm not to be disturbed at this time. He sleeps peacefully while he waits for my attentions to return to him.

Jack in bodies life, fun, grace, joy. His little mind thinks and contemplates what he will do next. I know as he must that life is a great creation and a blessing that we all enjoy but don't always understand. I've learned from Jack to enjoy the moment, exercise daily, rest when you are tired and there is nothing like a good nap in the middle of the day.

I've also learned to respect all of God's creations, that each of us are so special in our own ways. I also pray and dream and BELIEVE that some day in a far away land, there awaits for me a home, and it is my hearts desire and we will have our hearts desire it is a promise. That some day I will life in this great beautiful land with Jack, Puppy & Max and my family.

Where we all will look our creator in the eye, bow before his greatness and live eternally in Peace Joy & Love.

Actuallyt I was trying to write something like this !, but I got all caught up in philsophical stuff. I don't want a cat's self-sufficiency as Christians, but I do admire their patience and persistence. Similarly we must have the perseverance to endure to the end and then will see our reward. On I remember seeing a book comparing our the servant attitude to that of dog, always willing to serve rather than be served like a cat. However, I think that is an unfair assumption, while cat may not be servant like dogs , they love and sacrifice. In NYC the biggest story of 1996 was a cat who rescued her kittens from burning building The fireman who responded to the fire named here Scarlet because her burns. She and her kittens were eventually ad He was so impressed he wrote about her rescue. they The way my cat sit at my father feet reminds me of how we should worship. He stand completely adoring of my dad. Similarly we should have that awe of God Sometimes I think we have lost it He put his foot on my dad's as if he's mine and no one can take him away from me. Similarly we must lean on God He always will go to my dad for food. Similarly we must go to God for our spiritual sustenance rather relying too much on people to give what they cannot give.

Yes, I do wish I could have the life of my cat, when it come down it, animal do make better choices even though they are guided by pure instinct. Therefore, we who have reason are without excuse.
