Thank you, Rachel. That's really sweet of you to say. I just think when someone goes to all the trouble to write in a challenge, son of first line, story starter, or whatever, they should be able to receive comments. Many times, a comment does not fit into the thread. So, thanks again for starting this fun story. Can't wait to see where it will go.

one thing that amazes me about these stories. I have been watching this one grow, and it is crazy the personality my Stranger is taking on! I started him out as someone who was just very lonely. But he is becoming someone who is decidedly sinister! scary...

Weee-oooo-ooo! Kinda spooky! I'm not much of a fiction writer, but I've read how the others talk about their characters taking on their own life. Well, I guess this guy wasn't as lonely as you thought he was! LOL!
