The place is nearing completion, and nothing rounds out a good website better than having a bunch of your friends go tromping through the place and trying to dirty it up and find the holes, so if you would, please... :D

As an aside, if the writing circles or e-zine sound remotely interesting to any of you, please feel free to sign up.

i like your site very, very much.

i was just wondering if you could make a new window open when it comes to checking out your links. i think it might be more practical for someone who still wants to check out other areas of your site.

do you have a statement of faith like that of this site? your "i know this is going to start a debate, but..." section tells me no...but, how far is too far (aside from the debating rules)? i was wondering, because i'm a little bit radical in my ideas.

lastly, i would like to try sending you some articles for your e-zine. but, i don't know if you'd like my style. please check out my article here, entitled "on love, forgiveness, and thanking my mother", to get an idea of how i write (i submitted another one lately, "waiting for God(ot)", but no reply as of yet. i am a philosopher by heart, and that pretty much explains the way i write and practice my beliefs. tell me if you'd like me to write for your site then.

good luck and God bless.

Nice job, Angyl.

As my only caution, be sure to keep content fresh and updated. As we say in the web biz: "content is king".

Prayers to your online ministry!

Thanks to you both for the compliments and well-wishes.

Howard,

X-rated is too far. My statement of faith for the site is basically announced in my sig, (which doesn't show on this site);

For Writers
For Chrsitians
FOREVERybody!

While the site has a strong appeal (I hope), to writers.
And a strong Christian slant.

I do not wish to alienate "the others" completely. Angyl.net is not the inner sanctum of a Mormon Temple :p. It's out in the street with all the siinners, where Christ would be!

I'll check out your articles and send you an e-mail!

Impressive site... I do have one suggestion though.

On your sample chapter, you can put five periods in the same color as the background to indent paragraphs... it makes reading them much easier.

For example:

..... It makes a big difference. :)

Nice use of flash. What did you use to make the intro page???

Wow! Thanks for the suggestion on using periods to make a tab... VERY useful!

I used Macromedia Flash MX to create the intro page if that's what you're asking. :)

wgjones3 and Angyl

Hiding text by making the the font color the same as the background is considered spamming by most search engines, and if it is discovered your site could be penalized. Even just for periods, the algorithm may not be able to differentiate it from text. I would not take a chance.

A safe way to make individual spaces and/or indents is to place &n bsp; in your html for each letter space. (Remove the space between the n and the b - I had to add it to illustrate the command because the forum program reads it as a space like this:   three spaces.) This can also be used to space between words so that they will wrap together.
